What is CrossFit?

At it’s root, CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning programme designed to elicit a broad and general response across a wide range of physical capacities. The idea is that general physical preparedness is the ‘best fit’ model for training the majority of the population.

We believe that any fitness programme should prepare us for the demands of life, and since life is largely unknown and unknowable, our time in the gym should reflect that.

At CFB programming is focused on developing fundamental movement mechanics and base strength in order to safely master the vast variety of movements involved in the workouts. While we strive to keep pushing the boundaries to make new adaptations and progress, our main goal is to help our clients understand how they can reach optimal health and maintain it for years to come.

We achieve this this through our solid fundamental process of one-on-one training sessions where we cover not only movements used in CrossFit but also injury prevention and nutrition.

Our main classes are aimed at building all round strength and conditioning. We have classes dedicated to the more technical elements of CrossFit and our clients can also work on their individual weaknesses during open gym time or via additional one-on-one training sessions included in our membership.
